Adventure Travel WritingJuly 2729, 2007 with Bill Sherwonit
|
What better place to explore travel adventure writing than the wild coast of Kachemak Bay? This weekend workshop is designed for a wide range of writers, from novices who wish to finally put their tales on paper to more experienced writers who want to improve their craft. Participants will explore the various stages of creating a story, from observation to note taking to crafting the story, with emphasis on the personal essay. Participants are invited to bring a story-in-progress for discussion and feedback. Born in Connecticut, Bill has called Alaska home since 1982. A full-time freelancer, he has contributed articles to a wide variety of newspapers, magazines, journals and anthologies. He is the author of ten books about Alaska; his most recent, "Travelers Tales Alaska" published in 2003 is a hybrid of travel adventures collected and co-edited by him. Bill teaches creative writing classes at the University of Alaska Anchorage and conducts class on his own. To register call 907-345-2571 or 907-235-3633. VISA and MasterCard accepted. |
