Waterfront Watercolor

June 13-15, 2008

Presented by Paula Dickey for the 9th Year!

this year's focus:

Surround Yourself with Color

Using color theory as a starting point and watercolors as the medium you will create paintings with color impact! Find out how to "push" color to express your mood in your paintings and how to apply this to your personal environment. The beautiful Kasitsna grounds will be the inspiration and the information will be adaptable to your surroundings back home. Flowers will be an integral part of this experience.

Alaskan multi-media artist, Paula Dickey offers her ever popular watercolor painting workshop, Waterfront Watercolor. This annual event, now in its eighth year, gives an opportunity for the artist in all of us to take in the beauty and work in the ideal surroundings of Kasitsna Bay and enjoy the amenities and hospitality of Across the Bay Tent and Breakfast Adventure Company. This two day, two night class is designed for both the new student and the continuing enthusiast. Participants will learn to look closely, experiment freely and describe their real sense of place in their paintings. Though the students will be painting "en plein aire," there is always a comfortable spot in the lodge for those who wish to paint indoors.

The workshop will run from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. The per person tuition of $365 plus tax includes: class, rustic accommodations, hearty home cooked meals, water taxi transportation from the Homer, Alaska dock, exotic collage papers and instruction from one of Alaska's most versatile and accomplished artists, Paula Dickey.

Add an extra day to your trip for sea kayaking, hiking or mountain biking. Additional charges will apply. A non-refundable $25 deposit is required at registration. Space usually fills up fast for this very popular workshop. Final payment is due June 3, 2008. VISA and MasterCard accepted.

To register, call: 907-345-2571 or 907-235-3633. For more detailed information call 907-235-7953. Participant materials list and transportation information will be sent upon registration.
