Close-Up and Nature Photography

This will be internationally exhibited fine art and commercial photographer Hal Gage's fifth photography workshop at Across the Bay Tent and Breakfast Adventure Company. It will run from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. Hal will demonstrate how we can improve our skills by discussing the technical aspects of camera, lenses, film, digital, flash, exposure and lighting, as well as the aesthetic applications of photography. Whether the subjects are flowers, insects or abstractions of nature, there is a whole world at our feet to explore. Participants will need their own camera, either digital or film, flash attachments and close-up lenses; extension tubes and tripods are optional but recommended.
 
The workshop runs from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. The per person fee is $375 plus tax and includes instruction, water taxi transportation from Homer, meals, rustic accommodations in large, platform wall  tents, and trips to Seldovia and Red Mountain.

Space for this  popular workshop fills up fast so make your reservations as soon as possible. A non-refundable deposit of $25 is due a registration and the final payment due by August 11, 2009.
 
Participants may add an extra day to the beginning or end of the workshop to take a sea kayak trip, go mountain biking or arrange a halibut fishing charter. Additional charges will apply.
